We are thrilled to announce our summer and fall groups. Anchorpoint’s groups reach a variety of ages and issues experienced. Some groups offered are for those struggling with mental health difficulties. Other groups will be workshops for the average individual with an interest in a particular area.

Grief Support Group: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays, 1:00 to 2:30 pm
For widows and widowers over Fifty. Hosted by St. Sebastian’s Parish in Haber Hall. Donations accepted.
How Not To Marry A Jerk: Wednesdays, July 15th—August 19th, 6-8 pm.
A free six week educational group (with dinner included!) for singles who want some pointers for jerk-proofing a future marriage.
Marriage Sustainers: Tuesdays, July 21st—Aug 25th, 6-8 pm.
A free six week educational course (dinner included!) for married couples who want to reinvigorate their marriage.
Self-Care for Women – Three Groups
Mondays, Aug 10th—Sept 28th from 6-8 pm at Anchorpoint
Tuesdays, Aug 11th—Sept 29th from 1:30-3:00 pm at Anchorpoint
Wednesdays (every other), September 11—Nov 11 from 6-8pm at the Bairel Family YMCA*
An eight week support and educational group for women struggling with stress or depression and its effects in their lives. Cost is $60; scholarships available.
* You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to join this group. This group is six weeks.
Sanctuary for Teens: Tuesdays, Aug 25th—Oct 13th, 4:00-5:30pm
An eight week support group for teens grappling with depression, anxiety, or feeling alone. Cost is $60; scholarships available.
Life After Divorce: Tuesdays, Sept 15th—Nov 17th, 6—7:30pm
A ten week educational group for people trying to make sense of life after divorce and learning to cope with the experience. Major insurance accepted. Self-pay and sliding scale also available.
S.P.I.N. For Single Moms: 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month from October 7—May 18th
(Single Parent Information Network) Prepare yourself to be empowered physically, mentally and spiritually. For less than two hours of your time, you’ll be treated to a free meal, great conversation, and homework help for the kids. A wait-list may form for one or more of these groups. Do not let this discourage you from registering. If there is enough interest and resources available an additional group may be considered. Some of these groups are free due to generous grants, for others a donation is appreciated, and in some cases your health insurance will cover you. Scholarships are also available.
